Restore Deleted Data
There are multiple ways to delete a candidate from our system; Delete & Archive is one of them. Delete & Archive allows you to manage candidates who have been eliminated, either by choice or by election results.Delete moves a candidate and their data from the database to the Recycling Bin; Archive removes a candidate from your active guide, but retains their data.
Best Practice: You should never delete a candidate unless you are absolutely sure that you don’t want the data; To avoid accidental deletions, we recommend deleting a group of candidates at a time, rather than deleting all candidates in one operation. If you delete a candidate you may not be able to retrieve their data.
Delete Candidate
To delete a candidate, you should first display all candidates by clicking All in the upper right-hand corner. Select candidates for deletion by clicking the box next to their name in the Edit column. Scroll to the bottom of screen, and click the red Delete button. A warning will appear. If you are absolutely sure you wish to delete the candidate, click OK. If there is any doubt, cancel and review your choices, then click the red Delete button again.
Archive Candidate Data
To archive a candidate, you should first display all candidates by clicking All in the upper right-hand corner. Select candidates for archiving by clicking the box next to their name in the Edit column. Scroll to the bottom of screen, and just beyond the red Delete button, you will see a check mark; this is the Archive button.
